I am sure it all began on a cold, wet winter night, coming back from a
Meet Up - networking event in Liverpool. I challenged my colleagues to the
notion that as long as anyone remained solely an employee, they could never, in
their life time be free.
Theirs would be a life indebted to the shackles of toiling – employment –
and that’s just for basic survival. Instead of being quick to defend and oppose
preconceived ideas, my colleagues were willing to listen to my point of view
and as the train rolled to our destination I clearly saw and was happy to find
out that we shared the same beliefs.
Instead of being wasted on cheap small talk, that train journey stirred
something and planted a seed for us to push our common ideas further.
Subsequent networking events and debates followed all leading to this ultimate
path.
This is an exciting journey, it gives me great pleasure to be involved
in this project and thank Nathan for taking the initiative to convert our conversations
into tangible results but most importantly, I thank him for being a very good
listener.
So as we take our first baby steps, we invite you to tug along and bear witness to
this journey, hoping that you will benefit as much as we intend to ourselves.
